After achieving record levels of growth during the last 12 months, Wigan based insolvency and corporate restructuring specialist, Focus Insolvency Group, is set for further expansion following a new six figure funding deal with Royal Bank of Scotland.

Designed to support rapid ongoing growth, the deal has been designed to boost working capital enabling the firm to focus on continuing to develop the business and increase the number of jobs it can undertake.

Originally established in 2007 by Managing Director and Senior Licensed Insolvency Practitioner Anthony Fisher, Focus Insolvency Group provides tailored, specialist advice and guidance to limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and individuals who are experiencing financial difficulties. The company has offices in Wigan, Manchester and Leeds and employs 28 members of staff.

During the six months from September 2016 to March 2017, Focus Insolvency Group more than tripled the number of cases it was appointed on compared with the same period the previous year, increasing from 99 jobs to 354. The firm is aiming to continue this rapid trend, increasing job numbers to 150 jobs per month by April next year and to 250 per month in 2019.

Anthony Fisher, Managing Director at Focus Insolvency Group, said: “These last few months have been tremendous in terms of growth within both our Personal Insolvency and Corporate Insolvency divisions. We have continued to focus on business development, forming new relationships with professional advisors around our Wigan, Manchester and Leeds offices and as a result have experienced a boom in the number of businesses we have rescued from collapse and the number of jobs that have been saved. We have also seen a huge increase in demand for our Personal Insolvency services throughout the country.

“We plan to continue to grow significantly this year and will be looking to open more offices in other parts of the country to further develop our offerings around the UK. The funding we have secured with Royal Bank of Scotland is an integral part of our planned growth strategy and will help to support our continued organic expansion.”

David Jones, Senior Relationship Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “I am pleased that we have been able to support Anthony and the team at Focus Insolvency Group.  The business has seen a real boom in the number of cases it is handling and the funding will help to ensure that it can continue to expand.”
