Focus Insolvency Group are planning a charity trek in the Lake District in aid of a local charity very dear to our hearts; Derian House Children’s Hospice

On September 20th nine members of our team are heading off to scale Helvellyn; the highest point in the eastern fells of the Lake District at 3,117 feet above sea level and the third highest peak in not only the Lakes; but in England.

The trek team will made up of Managing Director Anthony Fisher, Finance Director Emma Fisher, Insolvency Director Gary Birchall, Operations Director Natalie Hughes, Group Development Director Andy Platt, Insolvency Manager Graham Cordiner, Insolvency Administrator Natalie Vose, Insolvency Administrator Kathryn Valentine and Receptionist Michelle Corcoran.

We appreciate all the support and awareness we can raise for Derian House. It is such an important part of our local community and we feel that their work represents so much more than just care alone. It’s an extended family and home from home for terminally ill children and their families, providing support and understanding at every stage. Their work is amazing and deserves every single penny we can raise; every little counts so please dig deep and help us achieve our target!

The team have begun preparing for the challenge:

Anthony Fisher remarked, “I have always enjoyed walking and am looking forward to the challenge in September but need to do a lot of training to be ready for it. Of course, it’s great that we are also supporting our charity Derian House.”

Andy Platt said,  “I’m really looking forward to this charity trek; it’s been set to be achievable but challenging and I think the team will love it!

“It’s really pleasing that so many people from different departments are taking part in raising money for such a great cause.”

Graham Cordiner also said of the experience to come, “Being from Chorley Derian House is a local charity and a great cause to climb a mountain for!”

We gratefully welcome donations of any amount to help the team raise much needed funds for Derian House. Please visit our Just Giving page which can be viewed here, alternatively please contact Andy Platt if you would like to donate in a different way.
