Anthony Fisher, Managing Director of Wigan based Focus Insolvency Group recently travelled to Newhaven to celebrate in style at the launch event of Phil Stone Consultancy (PSC), their most recent addition to the business family.

The event took place at the head office of the newly acquired restructuring business on April 19th and saw the festivities kicked off by Lord Brett McLean, chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses South East.

Also in attendance was Norman Baker, MP for Lewes as guest of honour along with other members of the local business community and the board of directors, and management team from Focus Insolvency Group.

Anthony Fisher commented on the day,

“The launch event was well received and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. There was a good turnout of interested business people and my warm thanks to Lord Brett McLean and MP Norman Baker. There was a good chance to discuss our services on the day and plenty of food and wine available.”

After its most successful year to date in 2012 Focus Insolvency Group were pleased to finalise the acquisition of Phil Stone Consultancy in January this year. Anthony went on to say,

“We are now 4 months into our merger and I am pleased to report that our nationwide expansion program is well under way. We now have open days in York, Bristol, Birmingham, Cambridge and Londonwhere people can come along and get expert advice and guidance on their debt problems and cash flow issues free of charge. Case numbers are on the increase and we continue to drive up our campaign for a nationwide service that is available for all businesses no matter what the financial difficulties.”

Phil Stone himself stays on at the firm in a marketing roll and has built the business up over many decades, establishing trusted relationships with numerous accountants, financial advisors and the Citizens Advice Bureau. He commented,

“April 19th was a very special day for me. Seeing the business I built up in less than 5 years, based on an unyielding policy of honesty, integrity and a complete refusal to back down to bullies, become a part of the highly successful Focus Insolvency Group was a great thrill.

With the guests at our launch ranging from bailiffs to bank managers, accountants to solicitors and with the honours spilt between Norman Baker MP and Lord McLean of Hastings, the event was a huge success.

The synergy between our two firms was obvious from first contact. We all want to resolve the problems of businesses in trouble. Working together with Focus Insolvency Group is the best way to make our complete service to struggling businesses available nationwide.”

The purchase of PSC means that Focus Insolvency Group can now offer a greater range of services to its clients than ever before via its nationwide service, offering restructuring advice and solutions for businesses and individuals in financial distress. Open days in convenient locations enable businesses access to the face to face advice they need to get their finances back on track.
